Introduction

sFTP is a useful tool to help manage your server files. With the ability to upload large files, sort them, and get information on each file, it's a handy tool you'll use! To get started, you need to install an SFTP client, such as FileZilla, or WinSCP. You can find respective direct download links for each down below

These are direct download links for WinSCP and FileZilla for Windows OS. If you have another OS, please browse through the site to find your appropriate file to download!

📂 Connecting With Filezilla 📂

Open up FileZilla once it is finished downloading and it should look like the image below. On the left side, it will display your files on your computer. The important fields we have to pay attention to are the top 4 fields.

Now, go to your panel dashboard in wither hosting, and go to your server. Then, click on the settings tab, to get to sFTP login details

Then, copy/paste the connection address as shown below, excluding ":2022" and paste it to the host field.

Then, copy your username and paste it into the username field.

Then, put in your panel’s password in the password field, and the port 2022 in the port field. Then proceed to click Quick Connect.

In the event, it shows a warning saying It's connecting to an untrusted server, you can just go ahead and click on yes. Nothing will happen to your server.

You should now be connected to your server and access all your files!

📁 Connecting With WinSCP 📁

WinSCP is only available for Windows users

Open up WinSCP, your interface should be like this:

In the top-left corner, click on “new session”. A window like this should pop up if not ensure everything is setup properly:

Now, go to your panel dashboard in wither hosting, and go to your server. Then, click on the settings tab, to get to sFTP login details.

Copy/paste your connection address in the hostname fiel.

Copy/paste your username in the username field.

Then, put in your panel’s password in the password field, and the port 2022 in the port field. Now, click on login.

In the event, it shows a warning saying It's connecting to an untrusted server, you can just go ahead and click on yes. Nothing will happen to your server.

Once again, you can click yes. Then you’ll be logged in!
